Zack Attack

Whoever did not watch the beloved Saved by the Bell as a youngster was clearly deprived as a child and probably should hate their life. Zack Morris was my childhood love. And what girl didnt want Kelly Kapowski as their BFF? Screetch was hilarious, Jesse and Slater were meant to be, and Lisa was my fashion inspiration!
Of course when my sister found this suuper cute and comfy shirt at forever 21 for only 20 bucks, I HAD to have it, whether it fit or not (it did btw) ;)
if youre ever in an akward conversation with me and dont know what to say, bring up this show and I can guarantee you we will be best friends.
Boots, form Winners, for 40
wool knee highs, 10 from H&M
translucent tights, randomly found in closet (love those types of things)
skirt, 10 from Winners and fits like a glove
scarf from the internet/it was a gift
headband 3 for 15 from ardene
bangle and rings, all from my mom/ardene
This look is incredibly comfy to wear, yet super cute.
also, I need a new camera for better pictures.

Overposting is Necessary

Due to the complete lack of posting my outfits in like, a year, I'm defs overposting now. but whatever. I'm no longer clogging up anyones newsfeed, so only people who actually care about fashion will stop by my little page and check it out.

Also, excuse my face in these photos, I'm usually more photogenic, but these were end of the night photos, crap camera, bad lighting, and at midnight. But the outfit still kicks butt.

Coat, bought a million years ago in toronto on the way to see the sound of music. which is PHENOM btw.
ps thats my face movie ever.
also, it was like 40 ish bucks from stitches

fur vest, 30 from old navy in myrtle beach, best place to vacay ever, other than a cruise. reccommended, yes.

Blouse, talize, in perf condition, like 8 bucks. I love it. I am obsessed with collars and this was so prim.

Shorts, brocade-ish. love them. forever 21 sale rack, 6 or 9 bucks. best find.

pantyhose, yes I still call them that, randomly found amongst of stash of 25 pairs of pantyhose and tights, also obsessed.

booties which i wear as soon as the leaves turn, faves. zellers, 25/30 bucks.

story: came back 3 different times to get them. first time, on sale but no money, second time, there but no sale, last time, sale and money! SOLD. they were still there so those suede black booties were destined to be mine.

hat 3 for 15 ardene

HUNTERS ARE HERREEE
So I never spend more than 50 on a pair of shoes. But i needed real winter like boots for nasty slush weather, and my rain boots werent cutting it. so i splurged, with mommas permission and got these beauts. but i also got 25% off the second pair for my sis, and a 30 dollar credit. so it was worth it.  cant wait to wear them!

Bye for now!

Falling In love with Autumn

Did I mention how much I LOVE fall fashions? Cozy scarves, warm colours, knits, feathers, earmuffs, trapper hats, luxe faux fur, socks and boots? Love it all.

OOTD
Ring, yes it is a ring. Online from my moms wholesalers. Pretty sure we thought it was smaller online, but hey, who am I to turn down outrageous jewelery?

Dress: Talize, probs less than $10 perfect condition. One of the best finds I have ever thrifted. Its knitted with amazing colours and doesnt' itch at all.
Scarf, ardene, 3 for 15, super cozy infinity scarf, wearing it lots this season

Tights, SO WARM and cute! Made in italy (so automatically the quality is awesome and theyre just better) from winners for about 7 or 8 bucks. plus the discount doesnt hurt either ;)

Booties: ardene, 2 for 15, super cute and amazing for fall

Headband!
This is exciting!
First: headbands are huge for fall and winter this year, Second: I knitted it, and the feather is 5 for 10 at ardene
Third: I have my own business!

Its is called Haney's Headbands, so like us on Facebook and spread the word!
Basically I knit all the headbands and sell them for a low price! Tons of colours to choose from, all hand knitted by me!

Lastly I threw in some marker sketches from illustration class. A fall fashion look and a halloween costume.
See? you can wear clothes on halloween and still look hot!
peace and love, Hanes

Thrifting Power

Hello fashionistas, or bored people. Whateves.
As you may know, especially if you know me personally. I am a super shopped. Clearly shown in previous posts, you can see that I get amazing deals.
However, a lot of my closet is second hand. Girls gotta have some sort of budget!
I mainly shop at the local second hand store, like a Winners, same layout, called Talize. I never leave there empty handed.
This week I got 3 jacket/sweaters, a pair of shoes and earrings all for 30 bucks! I had to leave some jewelery and yarn because I was already over my limit.
Heres my OOTD.

denim jacket, thrifted at talize for 8 bucks plus my discount;)
dress, 5, yes 5 dollars at H&M in Washington DC
Earrings, DIY
Knee socks, I truly have no clue. they just showed up in my sock drawer.
Also, the beads on the collar of the dress, so cute!
And my first hair bow! Im proud of myself:)
Also also, I haaad to feature these shoes I thrifted. So vintage! And only 5 bucks at talize! plus they were 50% off!!

GOOD DAY

Tuesday's Outfit: Worn to Jr high. A church youth group for grades
6 to 8 where I lead a small group of a dozen amazing, beautiful and talented grade 8s.
Its probably the most rewarding thing in the world, watching them grow not only in faith, but in life. My goal is to not only help guide them in their walk with God, but to give them advice on boys, friends, school, fashion, and life.
I believe that God blesses everyone with gifts that they can use. One of mine is fashion. It seems silly to say that God uses my fashion sense for his glory, but he does! My individual sense of style has let these young girls know that it`s okay to be yourself and express yourself, all the while lookin fashionable and appropriate.
When it comes to young girls, they are so easily influenced by the media and celebs, they don`t know what to think or wear. They stick to skin tight LULUs and uggs and crop tops. Which, not only is not fashionable, but can be a)inappropriate, and b)tempt their christian brothers.
I like to show my girls that they can be stylish and look fab while being appropriate for their age.
Its been a true blessing to see one or two girls in particular truly step out. Beginnging the year very shy and confused about fashion, and by the end of the year, stepping out in trendy and cute outfits that they look so good in.
My goal in life is to somehow inspire people by the way I express myself through the art of fashion, and I feel as though I made a step towards my goal this year.

Sperry Pretty

I will rarely be found not wearing heels. But when I do not wear them, I am bound to be caught in something just as cute! These sperrys were from my sister (who only now swears by TOMS). So I basically got a pair of never been worn Sperrys! No clue of the price, but not super cheap.
My glasses are new, 6 from F21. I looove anything vintage looking, like these tortoiseshell glasses wuth sick round frames.
The top is from Winners, about 20 I recall, also from Winners is my 20 dollar burlap/khaki/way cuter than that skirt with a tie, paperbag waist with buttons. A great spring outfit, perfect for a date at the driving range, or making dessert with my love:)

Take Me to Paris

Paris. One of the fashion capitols of the world. My dream. To see the city, sights, culture, but most of all, the fashion. My style is defintely more euro vibe than north american. I would feel completely at home there.
If my future husband does not want to travel, then its over. Thankfully the candidate I have now loves to travel and wants to go to europe:p Its also handy that he speaks fluent french too;) Whatta keeper. Anyhow, That would be the key to live in France is to learn myself some Francais.

\As far as my outfit goes today:
shirt, 12m Winners-my amazing workplace where I hardly make any money because I spend it all on all the new clothes:p
Pants, sheer with built in shorts 20 fromWinners
shoes, 5 dollars, Old Navy
earrings, ardene, 5 for 10$
hair bow, ditto
ring, from my sister.
Did I mention I am the queen of deals? Lets not forget my Winners employee discount!
